The Elan search process

Understanding a client’s company culture, financial structure, ambition, and specific role requirements is the cornerstone of our process. Speed is critical, as delays can jeopardise successful placements. Our comprehensive process includes:

  1. Initial meeting: Engage HR and line managers (in person or virtually) to discuss the role, job specification, requirements, budget/ benefits, and timeline
  2. Search & attraction: Target both passive and active candidates
  3. Candidate screening: Conduct face-to-face or virtual interviews with shortlisted candidates
  4. Candidate shortlist: Present 3-4 qualified candidates per role
  5. Interview co-ordination: Arrange and manage client/ candidate interviews
  6. Offer management: Oversee the offer process to ensure clarity and alignment
  7. Onboarding support: Maintain communication with the candidate during their notice period to facilitate a smooth transition
  8. Client reviews: Conduct quarterly review meetings to ensure ongoing satisfaction

  • Leveraging a vast network of over 6,000 professionals, together with a deep knowledge of the commodity sector and a proven track record, Elan Search ensures a meticulous and effective interview process:

    • Fundamental information
      • Collect candidate information – personal details, background, experience, ambitions and compensation expectations
    • Cultural fit
      • Match candidates to the client’s organisational culture coupled with ambition of role and company to ensure alignment
    • Behavioural Assessment
      • Employing principles from the Kahneman school, assess six pre-agreed key behaviours and score candidates on a 10 point scale. This behavioural assessment is incorporated into the client interview process.

    Following the interview stage, detailed reports are provided to the client for decision-making.
